EvenKeel foot orthotic devices combine close to 50 years of experience in clinical sports medicine and podiatry research with the latest app-based technology. Our business began as a service within the podiatry office of Dr. Frank Santopietro, a multi-awarded and multi-published podiatrist, athletic shoe designer, and orthotic device patent holder.
His clinical experience led Dr. Santopietro to understand that many foot and lower-extremity conditions could be linked to an underlying biomechanical problem. EvenKeel orthoses reflect this conservative therapeutic philosophy.
Dr. Santopietro’s method is to address the source of the problem, not just the symptoms, and offer solutions that are rarely invasive.
When the EvenKeel team paired Dr. Santopietro's expertise with leading edge technology and the best materials the industry had to offer, the EvenKeel family of custom orthoses was born. Soon Dr. Santopietro's EvenKeel Podiatry practice became the leader in same-day custom orthoses and shoe fitting.

Meet Dr. Frank J. Santopietro, D.P.M.
EvenKeel’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Santopietro is the founder and lead podiatrist of EvenKeel Podiatry, a practice, technology and health philosophy bringing a holistic approach to podiatric sports medicine, keeping patients mobile, active and healthy.
Dr. Santopietro brings over four decades of clinical experience in sports medicine and podiatric surgery to the EvenKeel family of companies, and his unique brand of podiatry offers patients an experience unlike any other in podiatric sports medicine and health management. He is known for providing cutting edge technology coupled with old-fashioned, caring values and an encyclopedic knowledge of foot biomechanics.
Dr. Santopietro spent much of his career specializing in pediatric podiatry, working with young athletes. He is the former Chief of Podiatry at Children’s Hospital in the Division of Sports Medicine and a former Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at Brown University.
Over the course of his career Dr. Santopietro has consulted for a number of NFL teams including the New England Patriots, serving as their podiatric physician for 25 years. He was the Medical Director of the Ocean State Marathon for 12 years and has served as a consultant to the Boston Ballet and the athletic departments of Brown University, Boston College, Providence College, and Emmanuel College. He continues to treat professional and elite athletes and others at his thriving Boston-area practice.
